Are scripts only optimized for ranged champions?

As stated in the title, I always wondered why 99% of the scripters I've encountered are either using adc or midlane champions. Are scripts not worth using when using melee champions such as riven, yasuo, mordekaiser, etc.?

It works perfectly with melee characters. Ranged characters are used more because that's where the script is perfect, but champions like Yasuo, Zed, and Riven are more than excellent with the LOLscript!
