A few days ago, Microsoft confirmed the end of Xbox Live Gold, a service that provides access to the Online Mode in Xbox games, in addition to offering subscribers the monthly distribution of free games.
Starting on September 14th, current Live Gold subscribers will be transitioned to the new Game Pass Core, which will not only maintain access to the Online Mode of games but also grant subscribers access to a catalog of 25 games (which will receive new additions in the future) for download.
This week, the Redmond giant began testing the new service, allowing Xbox testers in the Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead tiers to access Game Pass Core, provided they are existing Xbox Live Gold members.
Xbox Insiders will initially have access to Psychonauts 2, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, State of Decay 2, and Doom Eternal this week as part of the Game Pass Core library test.
What do they think about this, hype or flop?
