I’ve been thinking about the influence of each role in League of Legends, and it feels like the answer has shifted over the years. In Season 13, the jungle felt like the most important role because of early ganking potential, objective control, and influence over the map. But now, it seems like mid lane is making a comeback as the most impactful role due to its central position and ability to roam to either side lane. On the other hand, some argue that ADCs are crucial in late-game teamfights, while top laners can dominate games through split-pushing and drawing pressure. Support might seem like the least glamorous role, but they often dictate lane tempo and vision control.
