What things did you believe as a child but later realized were nonsense?

As children, while trying to understand the world, we may sometimes have beliefs that do not make sense or are shaped entirely by our imagination. Most of us, as we grew up, realized that these beliefs were actually unrealistic. Under this heading, you can share things you believed in as a child but found ridiculous or funny as you grew up.

As a child, I believed that traffic lights were controlled by tiny people living inside them, deciding when to change the colors. It felt so logical back then, but now it’s hilarious to think about
