I've had trouble watching anime for years and I still watch the same ones from time to time.
First I would say the 3 OAVs of the Golden Age of
Berserk. The CGI is strange the first few minutes but I find it very pretty with practice.
Then
Hellsing: Ultimate. I'm not at all into vampires but I love this anime. The episodes are a bit long (40 minutes) so it can be disturbing when you're not used to it.
I love
Claymore. It's really cool to have an anime centered on women but not to make them defenseless little girls. They are all badass. The problem is that the anime doesn't end like the manga and especially that half of the story is easily missing.
Dragon Ball Z Kai. I think it was one of my first animes. It's such a classic that I don't really know what to say about it. The simple fact of having removed the boring passages is perfect.
To finish with this part, I would say
Jormungand. Very little known is however one of the best animes that I have seen in addition to being perfectly faithful to the manga. I absolutely recommend among the list that I was able to cite.
Otherwise I can also cite
GTO, the first season of
One Punch Man, also the first season of
Psycho-Pass,
Your Lie in April (I cried
),
Death Parade (very sad too),
Kuroko's Basket
In the "classic" animes that I farmed very young and that today I could not even watch an episode:
Naruto (I have almost not seen Shippuden),
One Piece (after a hundred episodes I gave up),
Pokémon and
Conan for the same reason
